Ireland won the toss and elected to bowl first. UAE batted well and due to Shaiman Anwar quick century UAE managed to score 278/9 in 50 overs.

  • Amjad Ali            45 from 71 balls
  • Amjad Javed        42 from 35 balls
Cusak, Stirling , K O'Brien, sorenson took 2 wickets each for Ireland to restrict the UAE team to 278.

Chasing 279 for 50 overs looked not difficult for Ireland at start because, the Irish team defeated the west indies by chasing 300 + causing first upset defeat of 2015 ICC World cup.

In First 10 overs of mandatory power play Ireland scored 34 runs at the lost of 1 wicket. Ireland completed its 100 in 26.4 overs losing 4 wickets. Gary Wilson constructed the innings and Scored 80 from 69 balls but Kevin O'Brien pinch hitting really changed the face of the game. He Scored 50 from 25 balls which include 8 fours and 2 sixes.

In the 50th over with 4 balls to spare George Dockrell Scored the winning runs for Ireland and named victory with 1 wicket in hand.

  • Kevin O'Brien    50 runs from 25 balls
  • William poterfield and Joyce Scored 37 runs
Amjad Javed took 3 wickets, Muhammad Naveed and Muhammad Tauqir took 2 wickets each.

Pakistan vs UAE Mar 4, 2015   -   25th Match, Pool B at McLean Park, Napier (day/night) Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first, Pakistani opener Nasir Jamshed once agian failed to score (now the think tank of the team have to decide the opening position for the next crucial match, whether they want Sarfraz Ahmed in the team or they still want to give Nasir another chance). Ahmed Shehzad scored 93 runs and got run out couldn't reach the triple figure. Other major contributions in the score are Harris Sohail scored 70,Sohaib Maqsood scored 45 runs, Misbah the captain scored 65 runs and Shahid Afridi scored quick 21 runs of just 7 balls. The total sum up score of Pak team was 339/6 in 50 overs. In reply to the Pak team total of 339 team UAE showed some resistance and their some player like khurram khan , Shiaman Anwar and amjad javed scored 43,62 and 40 runs respectively.
