Bangladesh won by 6 wickets (with 11 balls remaining)Bangladesh won the toss and choose to bowl first. Scotland lost its first wicket in the 2.2 overs at 13 runs on the board. Scotland start was slow and lost 2 wicket in the powerplay for less than 40 runs. But the Scottish opener KJ Coetzer stood on the crease till 45 over and scored 156 runs of 134 balls. This was the first century innings by any Scottish player in world cup. With the help of the Coetzer innings Scotland managed to give a target of 319 in 50 overs.
At first this target looked a difficult one for Bangladesh but as we know many teams have chased 300+ targets . Bangladesh from the start showed aggressive batting despite of the early lost of wicket. Tamin and Mahmoodullah set a partnership of 139 runs, at the score of 144 Mahmodullah lost his wicket but the captain Musfiqe ur Raheem hold the crease with the pace of runs he scored 60 run of 42 balls, the all rounder Shakib also contributed well in the chase, he scored 57 of 41 balls where as Sabbir Rehman scored 42 runs of 40 balls.
With all these contributions Bangladesh won the match by 6 wickets in 48.1 overs.
