Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first, Pakistan made 2 changes in their final line up. Sarfraz Ahmed in for Nasir Jamshed who continued to show some form and Younis Khan the experienced campaigner in for Harris Sohail. Ahmed Shahzad and Sarfraz opened the batting, in the 9th over Ahmed Shahzad got out by Kyle Abbot he scored just 18 runs. Younis khan & Sarfraz gave Pakistan the stand of 62 runs for 2nd wicket this partnership broke when Sarfraz got run out by Miller (he scored 49 runs of 49 balls and he stood upto his selection), Younis khan in this matched scored 37 valuable runs and he is showing some form.

Other valuable contributions were by Misbah the skipper and afridi (56 and 22 runs) . Due to the bad weather the match was shorten to 47 overs. Pakistan scored 222 in 46.4 overs and all team got out SA got the target of 232 run in 47 runs according to (D/L) method.

This target looked easy for South Africa at the start but they lost their first wicket in the first over by the spear head of Pakistani pace attack Muhammad Irfan. De Kock got out in the first over. Du Plessis and Hashim Amla put up 67 runs on the board for the 2nd wicket partnership Du Plessis got out by Rahat Ali on 27 runs. In the very next over bowled by Wahab Raiz Amla got out on 38 and so the other next batsman Rossouw, Miller and Duminy got out early. AB De Villier showed some resistance and occupied the crease till 33rd over he made the match but the wickets kept on felling from the other end. When De Villier got out on 77 by Sohail Khan in the 33rd over the Matched slipped from SA hand and fell into Pakistan's Hand. South African tean got all out in 34th over for 202 runs. 

So Pakistan Won the crucial match by 29 runs (D/L Method) and got 2 vital points on the points table.
