Opener David warner scored 178 runs of just 133 balls and Steve Smith scored 95 runs Maxwell Played a blast innings of 88 Runs of just 39 balls (his innings include 6 fours and 7 sixes). Australia set record target of this World Cup on the board i-e 418 runs.

In rep to this huge total the afghanistan batting line up falled like a house of cards Mitchell Jhonson took 4 Wickets, hazelwood and Starc took 2 wickets each. Afghanistan only managed 142 runs on the board so Australia beaten Afghanistan by a record margin of 275 runs which is the record in the World Cup history.
