Australia won by 275 runs

Australia batted first and scored a ton of runs. Opener David warner scored 178 runs of just 133 balls and Steve Smith scored 95 runs Maxwell Played a blast innings of 88 Runs of just 39 balls (his innings include 6 fours and 7 sixes). Australia set record target of this World Cup on the board i-e 418 runs.

In rep to this huge total the afghanistan batting line up falled like a house of cards Mitchell Jhonson took 4 Wickets, hazelwood and Starc took 2 wickets each. Afghanistan only managed 142 runs on the board so Australia beaten Afghanistan by a record margin of 275 runs which is the record in the World Cup history.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2015   Ireland vs UAE  Feb 25, 2015 - 16th Match, Pool B at Brisbane Cricket Ground, Woolloongabba, Brisbane (d/n) Ireland won the toss and elected to bowl first. UAE batted well and due to Shaiman Anwar quick century UAE managed to score 278/9 in 50 overs.  Main Contributors in Score for UAE : Shaiman Anwar   106 from 83 balls Amjad Ali            45 from 71 balls Amjad Javed        42 from 35 balls Cusak , Stirling , K O'Brien , sorenson took 2 wickets each for Ireland to restrict the UAE team to 278. Chasing 279 for 50 overs looked not difficult for Ireland at start because, the Irish team defeated the west indies by chasing 300 + causing first upset defeat of 2015 ICC World cup.

Pakistan vs South Africa Pakistan won by 29 run (D/L method) Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first, Pakistan made 2 changes in their final line up. Sarfraz Ahmed in for Nasir Jamshed who continued to show some form and Younis Khan the experienced campaigner in for Harris Sohail. Ahmed Shahzad and Sarfraz opened the batting, in the 9th over Ahmed Shahzad got out by Kyle Abbot he scored just 18 runs. Younis khan & Sarfraz gave Pakistan the stand of 62 runs for 2nd wicket this partnership broke when Sarfraz got run out by Miller (he scored 49 runs of 49 balls and he stood upto his selection), Younis khan in this matched scored 37 valuable runs and he is showing some form. Other valuable contributions were by Misbah the skipper and afridi (56 and 22 runs) . Due to the bad weather the match was shorten to 47 overs.
